Pickering Associates Automation Group has experience in many types of industrial, commercial, and municipal control systems. On the manufacturing floor, we design and configure HMI and PLC systems that stand up to the rigors of plant life and operator requirements. In the back office, we provide historian and centralized data collection systems capable of interfacing with many popular ERP systems (i.e. SAP, ProductionCenter, etc.). We handle small jobs that consist of a few relays, pushbuttons, and indicators up to jobs that have thousands of I/O points, dozens of processors, and complex communication systems. We engineer systems from the back office to the production floor.
Our systems monitor and control everything from temperature to mass flow; from tank level to motor amps; from pressure to motion. Pickering Associates has developed automation applications to manage pumping stations, conveying systems, packaging systems, multi-axis robotic systems, blending systems, furnace control systems, chemical addition systems, batching systems, security systems, dust collection systems, and power management systems. We use control methodologies from simple open loop systems to sophisticated continuous multiple cascade PID control loops.
