Our Process
Pickering Associates prepared conceptual designs and worked closely with Momentive and the project team to define scope and transform the existing office into a modern, employee-focused workplace.
Following significant storm damage that displaced employees from the facility, the project team worked to create a workplace that would support both current operations and future growth. Pickering Associates collaborated with Momentive, Copperleaf Interiors, Franklin Interiors, and BBL Carlton Construction to develop a design that balanced functionality, employee wellness, and modern workplace expectations. The renovation incorporated flexible workspaces, collaborative meeting areas, updated employee amenities, and contemporary interior finishes throughout the facility, resulting in a vibrant environment designed to serve Momentive and its employees for years to come.
A key consideration throughout the project was maintaining continuity of operations while creating a completely reimagined workplace. The team worked closely with Momentive to minimize disruptions to employees and business functions during the renovation process, carefully coordinating construction activities within an occupied industrial campus. This collaborative approach allowed the facility to remain responsive to operational needs while transforming the existing office space into a modern, employee-focused environment.
Pickering Associates was awarded the 2026 Merit Award by the American Institute of Architects.
