Our Process
Due to poor soils encountered on the site, Pickering modified the design to a deep foundation system, including the floor slab.
Pickering Associates provided services for the project based upon the deliverables associated with the DID documents and discussions with the Client. Designs included a showroom, sales offices, restrooms, maintenance bays, customer waiting room, site layout including three EV charging stations.
Due to poor soils encountered on the site, the design was required to be modified to a deep foundation system. In addition, the soils were found to be so poor during construction that the floor slab itself needed to be supported by deep foundations. This required Pickering Associates to design the deep foundation, support system for the floor slab, and perform additional drawing submittals and reviews.
