Over the past 7 years, Pickering Associates has provided engineering and design services to oil and gas clients developing the Marcellus and Utica shale areas. Services relating to production pad design include assisting the owner with development of the site, process and instrument diagrams, equipment selection, site layout, piping design, and construction administration services. Our services have extended to both WV and Ohio sites and we understand and design to Ohio DNR regulations and applicable API, ASME, and NFPA codes.

Our Process
Developing your site does not have to be a headache or inconvenience.
One of many projects designed and managed by the talented engineers of Pickering Associates, this client chose our firm to assist in the development of this 45 acre site. A Topographical survey of the entire 45 acres was completed for the future construction of a horizontal well pad site. Boundary surveying of the property and well plats for permitting purposes were completed as well.
Our Civil Engineering design team led this project with the design and creation of construction drawings for a 350’ x 500’ drilling pad, a 125’ x 200’ production pad, and a 65,000-barrel impoundment. The team coordinated the design and required permitting with local utility companies as well as the County Engineering Department for local roadway upgrades and improvements.
