Our Process
The new Southwood Pool encompasses a kiddie pool area, a splash pad, a slide, a lily pad obstacle course and a lap pool in one.
The existing tot pool was replaced with a splash pad/activity structure. A zero-depth entry main pool was designed to provide for a variety of activities. Lap lanes with a speed slide were connected to the main pool to allow swim meets to be held without impacting the entire pool.
The structure consisted of a reinforced concrete pool with epoxy paint system and stainless-steel gutters. The pool deck surface was bonded and grounded reinforced concrete. The renovated pool equipment room is able to accommodate the chlorination systems and pumps for the new pools and features.
