Emerson Square Medical Facility

This new medical facility on Emerson Avenue in Parkersburg, West Virginia is home to orthopedic, internal medicine, psychology and dental practices. Pickering Associates provided the complete design and engineering package including, architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. As a part of this project we also provided on-site Construction Administration.

Site development included grading, stormwater management, retaining walls, curbing and paving. The foundation, building loads, general framing layout and lateral-force-resisting system were designed to accommodate prefabricated wood construction. The HVAC system was designed with multiple zones to accommodate each tenant and a specialized plumbing design included a dental vacuum and air systems.

Pickering Associates was a part of this project through every stage including finish and casework specification, bidding, construction administration, coordination of subcontractors, scheduling, pay requests and site inspections. The experience of our design team along with the diligence of our construction administration team allowed this project to be a huge success!
