On Thursday April 5, 2018 Pickering Associates hosted a meeting for the Society of Plastics Engineering. Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Berry Professor and Department Chair of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at West Virginia University, honored the group by presenting his research on Extensional Flow Mixing of Immiscible Polymers with Nanoparticle Stabilization. This is an area of research which can lower the energy required to blend a wide range of materials. Meeting participants represented academic institutions, industry and manufacturers from Ohio and West Virginia. The Society of Plastics Engineering has over 12,000 members and continues to expand and share their knowledge and experience in the Mid-Ohio Valley. The local section of SPE represents WV and Southeastern OH.
