Corey Whitlatch, a graduate of West Virginia University, has been a part of Pickering Associates Electrical Engineering team for the past year. Based out of Pickering’s Charleston, WV office Corey’s first year with the team has been instrumental, and his journey is only beginning. During his time with us, Corey has been preparing and studying for his Fundamentals of Engineers Exam. The Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is a precursor to the Professional Engineering Exam for the state of West Virginia.
The exam focuses on the basic concepts of electrical and computer engineering. Corey took the exam in June of this year and missed the cut off by a few points. However, with a great deal of hard work and dedication, he was able to take it again at the beginning of December and passed with flying colors. Now that he passed this exam, he will have to get four years to work experience total as an intern before he can sit for his Professional Engineering Exam in 2021. Congratulations Corey on taking the first step towards his Professional Engineering career.
