Mason Greathouse has been a member of the Pickering Family for the past four years. He started as an Intern for the Electrical department in the summer of 2015. He transitioned to full-time employment after graduating from WVU with a dual degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in May of 2016.
Mason has a unique job title here at Pickering Associates. He is an Electrical and Controls Systems Engineer. The only person in the company who is integrated into both electrical and control engineer design. The diversity of work is one of the reasons Mason enjoys working at Pickering. One day he is working on power distribution and the next day, industrial control systems. But Mason’s favorite part is the overall environment. “It’s a nice office with great people and everyone in our department gets along and are friends.”
When asked what led Mason to Pickering Associates four years ago, Mason said, “My friends recommended that I apply here at Pickering for an Internship. After my internship, I was fortunate they kept me on to work through Christmas break and then offered me a full-time position after I graduated. I am originally from the Lubeck/Parkersburg Area.”
Outside of work Mason enjoys playing video games and flying his drone. He is an Eagle Scouts and an active member of his Church community. This year continues to be an exciting one for Mason and his family; he recently got married to his wife Aran in March and welcomed a new 11-week-old Blue Heeler Puppy named Carl into their family.
Mason congratulations on your new marriage and puppy, and we are excited to celebrate your fourth Anniversary this summer with the company!
