Sean Simon, AIA NCARB, has been with Pickering Associates for one year now, and has just had an exciting move and job change within our company! Those of you at the Parkersburg office have been used to seeing Sean around the campus daily. However recently he has been given the job and title as the Branch Manager of our Charleston office! We are so excited about what this means for the future of our company.
Sean graduated from the University of Tennessee and spent over a decade working in various architecture firms as well as ten years running his own architecture business. He came to Pickering as a Senior Construction Administrator/Project Architect at the beginning of 2018 and has been a vital part of our company ever since then. Outside of work, Sean enjoys hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He builds all the props and sets for the River City Youth Ballet and is on the Y.O.U (Youth Organizations United) Board in Charleston. Sean is married to Michelle, and together they have four children. When asked what he admires about his journey as an architect Sean responded that, “I believe my first four years of hand drafting instilled a required level of attention to detail that younger people have missed today with the use of computers.”
We are thankful for your attention to detail Sean, as well as your hard work and involvement in the community around you! Thank you for all that you do here at Pickering!
