Fairmont West Virginia welcomed Pickering Associates on January 18th of 2018. The new office is located in the historic Veterans Square Building on Adams street in Downtown Fairmont. “We love the location across from two popular destinations, The Little Red Hen Bakery and Joe-and-Throw Café, which brings a lot of foot and vehicular traffic,” says branch manager Pamela Wean. The building was originally a G.C. Murphy Department Store that was renovated into office space in the early 2000s. “I can remember coming in the same doors as a child growing up in Fairmont to shop for school supplies and gifts, and having lunch in the café in the old Murphy’s store.” The office is up and running but the Grand opening celebration will be held at a later date this spring.

Though a smaller office, Fairmont is a fully functioning Architecture and Engineering firm. Our staff includes Project Architect Pamela Wean, Architectural Designer Jeremy Hobson, and Structural Engineer Sean Cottrill. Some of the projects that the office is currently working on is a 75,000 SF addition to the Armstrong Flooring Plant in Beverly, WV and renovations of Hino Motors Manufacturing Plant in Mineral Wells, WV. “We are looking forward to meeting new people in the Fairmont area who may just be curious about Pickering Associates. We also hope to provide our services to local businesses, school systems and private clients as well, and expand our business in this area in the years to come. We invite anyone to stop by and visit when they’re passing by!”
