Unfortunately, many people we know, whether in our organization, friends or family members, have been touched by the ugliness of cancer. The impact of fighting the disease puts a strain on the patient as well as those close to them. The pandemic has now put a greater strain on resources to help.

That is why Pickering Associates has decided to run a No Shave Marathon from October 1, 2020 to March 1, 2021. Several people at Pickering have decided to forgo shaving for five months in an effort to raise donations to help support the American Cancer Society.

Here are the details:

• No Shave Marathoners will be clean shaven for 10/1 (For some this will be the first time we’ve seen them without beards nor have their significant others)
• The Marathoners have already agreed to contribute to the donation fund, and employees are encouraged to partake as well
• Pickering Associates will match 100% of the employee contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Help us make this this initiative more meaningful and donate the American Cancer Society in honor/memory of all those we know and love and knew and loved who are or have battled cancer.
