Christopher Algmin, AIA, is the first Revit Architecture 2014 Certified Professional in West Virginia
Pickering Associates is pleased to announce Christopher Algmin, AIA, recently completed the Autodesk Certification Program and is the first Revit Architecture 2014 Certified Professional in the state of West Virginia. The certification recognizes Algmin’s knowledge of Autodesk Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, Revit.
BIM allows users to design a building and structure and its components in 3D, and assign critical information in the computer model. The result is a project information resource for everyone involved in the building’s design, construction, and operation.
With his certification, Algmin says he’s looking forward to bringing a complete project delivery to clients through BIM. ”Building Information Modeling is a powerful tool to utilize throughout a building project. It is imperative that the designers working on a BIM project know how to use the software correctly to make the most of it for the owner. Certification is the benchmark that owners should look for when selecting a BIM design team.”
