The Mid-Ohio Valley’s premier architecture, engineering and surveying firm is ending the year on a high note and welcoming new members to its team of professionals. The four new hires include a civil engineer, mechanical engineer, structural engineer and administration professional.
Mindi Moore is Pickering Associates’ newest mechanical engineer. A Parkersburg native, Moore graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors from West Virginia University with a B.S. in both mechanical and aerospace engineering. Before Pickering Associates, she was employed at Rolls-Royce where she worked on engines for the Joint Strike Fighter, the Boeing 787, and also the Airbus 350. Moore says she’s most looking forward to working on projects from start to finish and being able to see the final product utilized.
The newest addition to the structural engineering department is Kyle Norris, PE. Norris graduated from Ohio University in 2007 and is a professional engineer in Ohio. Norris says he’s most looking forward to working with the many different project types offered to clients of Pickering Associates. Norris says he thrilled to be working with an outstanding company so close to his home and extended family.
The expanding civil engineering department added Adam Leachman, PE to the group. Leachman is a professional engineer in both Ohio and West Virginia and graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in civil engineering in 2000. Leachman brings a wealth of knowledge to the firm with eight years’ experience in the construction industry and six years’ experience in the coal industry.
The administrative group has been expanded to include Vickie Clem. Clem is a graduate of West Liberty State College with a degree in Business Education. Clem has worked as a teacher as well as an accounting and marketing professional in the Mid-Ohio Valley for a number of years and brings a vast array of knowledge to the company. Clem, a Mountaineer through and through, says she looks forward to working with the exceptional group of men and women at Pickering Associates.
