Pickering Associates Controls Department along with State Electric were excited for the opportunity to host, Rockwell Automation’s “Automation on the Move” training event at the Holiday Inn in Mineral Wells, WV, on Wednesday, June 13th 2018. This is a training program that Pickering Associates offers various clients, free of charge, as well as Pickering Team members. The event hosted about a dozen clients and allowed them to receive knowledge and skills in the world of Automations and controls.
“It is a good opportunity for us and clients to get their hands on new equipment they may potentially buy or just do some labs to learn how to better use equipment they already have,” mentioned Shawn Bishop, a Controls Systems Designer at Pickering Associates. This event was a joint venture between Pickering Associates and State Electric, that featured Allen-Bradley hardware/Rockwell Automation software. As a special guest to the event, a representative from Forberg Scientific was able to give a presentation on Endress + Hauser instruments.
Overall the day was a huge success and the team looks forward to partnering again next year.
