Pickering Associates is excited to be given the opportunity to speak at the WVSHE quarterly meeting, held at the Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg WV. This was the first time in a while that the meeting has been held in the Mid-Ohio Valley area. The WVSHE is the West Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers, and they host quarterly meetings to review updates and changes in the engineering community as well as new codes and requirements. Pickering provided three speakers at the event, presenting to representatives from twelve different hospitals throughout the state of West Virginia.

Three topics were addressed at the meeting. Jesse Daubert spoke about the 3D Scanning Capabilities in Healthcare. He was able to take a scan of the room prior to the meeting and demonstrate various task and techniques when using this technology. Zac Campbell presented on powering Healthcare Technology by explaining new technology that is entering the market place and how to incorporate it into the healthcare atmosphere. The third topic presented by Traci Stotts and Jeff Hosek was a two-part presentation. The first part of the presentation was carried out by Traci on general updates and code changes occurring for healthcare facilities. Jeff then presented the mechanical side and addressed revisions to ASHRAE Standard 170. Overall, the meeting proved to be an exciting and informative day as our staff was able to connect and facilitate with members of the society.
